 2015 SUMMER OP SESSION
Thursday, July 23, 2015
Category: Operations Meet
Summary: This op session is currently scheduled for Wednesday July 23 thru Saturday July 25, 2015. The op session is ON. If you haven't already done so, let me know what days you plan to attend.
Details: IF you wish to participate in this (or any other op sessions scheduled in 2015) please send an email indicating your "planned" participation sometime early in 2015. I will make a list of those wishing to participate.

Even though the op session is "scheduled" to begin on Thursday, on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 all available crews will be "setting up" by moving cars from storage to towns and industries on the RR. If you can come Wednesday, you will be "put to work."

We begin at about 9AM and operate until about 5PM. Each crew decides IF or WHEN they will break for lunch. Feel free to bring your own lunch. Coffee and soft drinks are available at the engine barn. Bring a family channel radio if you have one.

All railroaders of any scale who are interested in "operating at WCRR" are invited to attend. If you do not have equipment, we will assign you to a crew that does have equipment. If you are a "rookie", that's OK, We will assign you to an "experienced crew" to "work". They will teach you everything you need to know. We operate rain or shine. Bring appropriate clothing and a family channel radio, if you have one.

Please notify WCRR at least a week in advance, preferably by email, indicating the names of all members of your group that plan to participate. If you are unable to participate for the entire op session, that's ok. Just let us know which days you will be here to participate. If you "sign up" to participate and then find that you will be unable to attend, please let us know by email so we can "fill your position" with someone else.

If you have questions, feel free to contact us and ask. We will respond, usually within a day or less.

In case you didn't know, WCRR has a place for you to park your travel trailer, motor home, or tent if you will be here for more than one day. The closest motels are all located near Grand Rapids, approximately 20 miles away.
